Pamela Colombo

Associate Professor, Université Laval, Québec

Pamela Colombo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Université Laval, Québec. She holds a PhD in Sociology (University of the Basque Country, Spain) and has worked as a Marie Sk-Curie Research Fellow at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (IRIS-EHESS, Paris). Her research focuses on the links between state violence, space. She has worked on the spatiality of enforced disappearances in Argentina, on forced relocation programs as a counter-insurgency policy during the Cold War in Latin America, and currently, on the forced relocation of Indigenous children to residential schools in the province of Québec.
