Ian Hember

Ian Hember has worked in archaeology for 30 years in Ontario, Quebec, Greece and the United Kingdom. He researched over 40 National Historic Sites of archaeological significance for the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada, contributed to the Conservation Management Plan for Beechey Island Historic Site in Nunavut and co-authored a manual for archaeology on federal property for Parks Canada. Since joining the Ontario Public Service in 2010, he has served as Archaeology Review Officer, Archaeology Licensing Officer, and Senior Policy Analyst among other roles. He has been the Registrar of Burials since 2024.
