Devin Dutt is the Assistant Deputy Minister of Strategic Policy and Planning at the Ministry of Indigenous Affairs and First Nations Economic Reconciliation. A senior public servant with over a decade of leadership experience, Devin has held key roles across the Ontario Public Service, including at the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Community and Social Services, and Treasury Board Secretariat.
Devin has had multiple tenures at IAFNER, including contributing to Ontario’s historic response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action by providing corporate and financial support for the development of Ontario’s Action Plan for Reconciliation.
In his current role, Devin provides strategic policy and operational leadership to advance government priorities related to Indigenous affairs. He leads the division responsible for the province’s work on Indian Residential School Burial Investigations, supporting a community-led, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded approach. He also plays a central role in advancing reconciliation through cross-ministry policy coordination and strategic planning—particularly in supporting Indigenous economic reconciliation.
Devin brings deep expertise in public sector financial management, business transformation, and cross-government coordination. He is a trusted advisor to executive leadership, known for navigating challenging and complex initiatives with integrity and purpose.
